A transport company is looking for a suitably qualified individual to promote organizational excellence by managing the maintenance, and repair of its entire Fleet, with a focus on quality delivery, accuracy, and a deliberate, consistent emphasis on precise work.

Position: Workshop Foreman

Reports to: Workshop Manager

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervising, leading, and reviewing the works of mechanics responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining and repairing mechanical defects in the fleet on and off site;
  • Establishing and continuously reviewing with Workshop Manager the workshop’s structure, workflows, and job responsibilities in the workshop to ensure work is organized and carried out in the most efficient and effective manner;
  • Ensuring the optimum operation of the fleet by conducting mandatory services on every truck that arrives and strive to reduce the number of breakdowns.

Minimum Requirements

  • Diploma / Certificate in relevant field of technical / mechanics
  • Experience required of a minimum five (5) years, preferably in Transport and Logistics Company and experience with sound engine knowledge in all fields (overhauls, diffs, auto electrics etc)
  • Member of the EIZ
  • Age 28-40years
  • Have the ability to carry, and meet multiple objectives and deadlines;
  • Time availability: willingness to work weekends rotational public holidays as workload requires.
