A reputable company within Agro-industry is urgently seeking qualified Zambian Citizens to take up roles of Maintenance Supervisor and Electrician.

1. POSITION: MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

Maintenance Supervisor Responsibilities:

  • Inspect sites regularly to identify problems and necessary maintenance.
  • Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work as per forecasted workloads.
  • Employ, supervise and train workers.
  • Coordinate daily cleaning and maintenance activities.
  • Oversee all repairs and ensure that work is completed on time.
  • Maintain all inventory and equipment and ensure proper storage.
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations and practices on site.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance work.
  • Conduct follow-ups on all maintenance and repair work.
  • Conduct safety inspections as scheduled.
  • Establish strategies to meet workload demands on time.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of building trades, cleaning procedures and maintenance.
  • Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and practices.
  • Fantastic organizational and leadership skills, and Great eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
  • Great time management skills.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.

Maintenance Supervisor Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 -year work experience as a Maintenance Supervisor. Prior experience in a position equal to the above will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of a Grade 12 Certificate.
  • Excellent knowledge of public Electrical and Plumbing.
  • Integrity and professionalism

2. POSITION: ELECTRICIAN

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Attends to all electrical faults on hatchery setter and incubator machines
  • Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus and components using test equipment and hand tools
  • Connects wires to the circuit breaker, transformers or other components
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects and need for adjustment or repair and ensure compliance with electrical statutes
  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuit in electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures
  • Running electronic test and inspections
  • Cleaning contacts and/or circuit boards
  • Ensuring that systems are grounded
  • Adhering to the Preventive Maintenance Schedule
  • Conducting maintenance stock take of maintenance spares

Key Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 -year work experience as a Maintenance Super. Prior experience in a position equal to the above will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of a Grade 12 Certificate
  • Excellent knowledge of public Electrical and Plumbing.
  • Integrity and professionalism
