Job opportunity: Qualitative Research Interviewers/Moderators

Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) is a nonprofit organization that creates and evaluates solutions to social and development problems, and works to scale up successful ideas through implementation and dissemination to policymakers, practitioners, investors, and donors.

IPA-Zambia is looking for enthusiastic and motivated QUALITATIVE RESEARCH INTERVIEWERS. The Interviewers will be responsible for handling high quality In-depth and Focus Group Discussions including translating and transcribing recorded interviews, on our project within IPA-Zambia, Chipata office.

Essential requirements:

  • Minimum Diploma or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written English
  • Fluent in local language preferably Chewa
  • Work during weekends

Desirable:

  • Research experience
  • In-depth and Focus Group Discussion Data collection experience
  • Experience in translating and transcribing recorded interviews
  • Resident of Chipata or have own accommodation in Chipata
  • Work experience in a reputable organization
  • Should be in possession of a motor-bike license
