Job Title: Camera Assistant
Reports to: Technical Operations Manager
Location: Lusaka

Intelligent Mobility Solutions (IMS) provides solutions to address traffic and road safety challenges in Zambia, working alongside Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA) and Zambia Police Officers. We are looking for a suitable candidate to join the IMS Team as Camera Assistant.


The main responsibility of the Camera Assistant is to assist the Enforcement Management Team in deployment of cameras on roadsides at locations to be advised from time to time.

Camera operations and deployment:

  • Deployment of Cameras at various geographical locations
  • Maintenance of camera equipment
  • Diagnose errors and problems, determine solutions
  • Site survey and plinth setup (Basic Construction)
  • IT network setup on personal PC and tablet
  • Basic IT troubleshooting
  • Follow field procedures and abide by safety rules
  • Maintain a vigilant and protective presence whilst using assigned equipment
  • Ensure all field sheets are updated and completed at the end of camera deployment

Fleet and asset management:

  • Ensure proper control and use of company vehicle and other assets
  • Manage vehicle maintenance schedule
  • Ensure vehicle logbook is up to date
  • Ensure fleet policy is strictly adhered to


  • Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
  • Minimum Diploma in IT
  • 2 years or more experience in networking technology
  • Basic knowledge of electronics
  • Ability or willingness to undertake shift work
  • Have a valid driver’s licence and able to drive a manual vehicle


  • Attention to detail, able to work accurately
  • Organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and professionally
  • Communication skills
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Proactive, independent and objective state of mind
  • Respects confidentiality
