Requirements

1.      Grade 12 or GCE qualification

2.      Craft or Trade Certificate

3.      3 years’ work experience in similar position

4.      Knowledge in thermal and arc metal cutting

5.      Ability to read blueprints and drawings for welding

6.      Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements

7.      Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws

8.      Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
