JOB OPPORTUNITY – IT OFFICER
The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) is a statutory body under Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry. The CCPC was established under the competition and Consumer Protection Act No 24 of 2010 of the Laws of Zambia. Its Mission statement is to safeguard and promote a competitive business environment and enhance consumer welfare by prohibiting anti-competitive and unfair trading practices in Zambia.
In order to align its operations to good governance practices, the CCPC wishes to recruit for the above-mentioned post.
JOB PURPOSE:
Responsible for maintenance of CCPC ICT Hardware, Software, applications, and Networks to ensure that they are in good working conditions; to attend to queries from CCPC staff concerning the networking and functioning of information and technology systems used by them and to orient end users on the use of IT applications/equipment. Ensure backups for all systems are carried out as per procedures and information security and disaster recovery /incident plans are in place.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE
- Three (3) years’ experience in IT Support and administration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, information systems or information technology
- MCSE, MCSA, A+ or other relevant Vendor Qualification.
- Member ICT Association of Zambia
