POSITION DESCRIPTION 

Job Title: SME Relationship Agent
Department: Commercial
Reporting line: Business Development Manager (BDM)
Location: All provinces

Job Purpose: 
The SME Relationship Agent is responsible for driving the day-to-day sales for secured and unsecured business lending products through client engagements, deal structuring and completion of KYC requirements.

Main Deliverables
– Sales across all product offerings with a strong bias towards the SME sector and its value chain.
– Engaging potential clients on loan products and checklists of requirements in line with their needs.
– Retention and growth of a profitable credit portfolio in line with risk limits of the business in terms of Portfolio at Risk (PAR).
– Managing and maintaining service quality in client portfolio.
– Engage in strategic marketing activities aimed at target clients for both secured and unsecured business lending products.
– Ensure collections are up to date on all loans within the region.

Key Performance Areas
– Attainment and exceeding of sales (ZMW) budget on monthly and yearly basis.
– Ensure that deals submitted to the Credit  unit are complete (required documents compiled in full).
– Maintain high service quality to ensure a positive customer satisfaction ratings.
– Grow customer base and nurture long lasting relationships.
– Own personal development and growth.

Knowledge and skills 
– Experience in sales relating to loan products.
– Adept customer engagement skills.

Qualifications
– Minimum Diploma level in a business related course.

Technical Skills 
– Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to prepare reports, presentations, and credit assessments papers.

Language(s)
– English, plus any local language(s)
