1.) DIRECTOR/ PRINCIPLE

Duties:

  • Responsible for the day to day operations, including managing staff.

Qualifications:

Age 20 – 35

Education and Experience: – should have a relevant degree in education or a related field, and may also have experience working in the drone industry, such as flying drones or managing drone operations.
Knowledge of Regulations:- should have a strong understanding of the regulations related to drone operations, including Zambia Aviation Authority (ZCCA) and local laws.
Management Skills:- should have experience managing people and resources, as well as a demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.
Communication Skills: – should have strong communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as the ability to effectively communicate with students, staff, and external partners.
Business Skills:- should have some business acumen, including knowledge of marketing, finance, and strategic planning.
Certifications:- certain certifications, preferably issued by the Zambia Aviation Authority is an added advantage.


2.) INSTRUCTORS (x2)

Duties:

  • Teach drone flying skills to students. Instructors may have different levels of experience and certifications depending on the type of courses they teach.

Qualifications:

Age 20 – 35
Remote Pilot Certificate: hold a valid remote pilot certificate issued by the Zambia Civil Aviation Authority (ZCCA).
Knowledge of Regulations: have a strong understanding of the regulations related to drone operations, including ZCCA regulations and local laws.
Experience: have experience flying drones and teaching drone skills to students. They may also have experience in other related fields, such as photography, videography, or surveying.
Teaching Experience: Instructors should have experience teaching, including developing lesson plans and assessing student progress.
Communication Skills: Instructors should have strong communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as the ability to effectively communicate with students, staff, and external partners.
Technical Knowledge: Instructors should have a strong technical knowledge of drone hardware and software, including the ability to troubleshoot technical issues and repair drones if necessary.


3.) ADMINISTRATOR

Duties:

  • operations and management, such as managing finances, maintaining records, and coordinating with external partners.

Qualifications:

Age 20 – 35
Education and Experience: should have a relevant degree in business administration, accounting, or a related field, and may also have experience working in a similar role in the education or drone industry.
Organisational Skills: should have excellent organisational skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise responsibilities.
Attention to Detail: have a keen eye for detail, especially when it comes to managing finances, maintaining records, and processing paperwork.
Communication Skills: have strong communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as the ability to effectively communicate with students, staff, and external partners.
Computer Skills: be proficient in using computer software programs, such as Microsoft Office or Google Suite, as well as any specialised software used by the drone school.
Business Skills: have a basic understanding of business practices, including accounting, budgeting, and financial management.


4.) MARKETING MANAGER

Duties:

  • Promotions, website, social media accounts and other marketing efforts.

Qualifications:

Age 20 – 35
Education and Experience: have a relevant degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
Marketing Skills: have experience developing and executing marketing plans, including advertising, social media campaigns, and email marketing.
Communication Skills: strong communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as the ability to effectively communicate with students, staff, and external partners.
Creative Skills: be creative and able to think outside the box when it comes to marketing and outreach efforts, such as developing unique marketing campaigns or designing eye-catching promotional materials.
Social Media Skills: be well-versed in social media platforms, including the ability to use social media for marketing purposes, such as creating and managing social media accounts, developing social media content, and analysing social media metrics.
Event Planning Skills: should have experience planning and executing events, such as drone demonstrations, open houses, or workshops.
Business Skills: a basic understanding of business practices, including budgeting, financial management, and strategic planning.


5.) TECHNICIAN

Duties:

responsible for maintaining repairing and ensuring that all equipment is functioning properly.

Qualification:

Age 20 – 35
Education and Experience: must have a relevant degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field, and may also have experience working in a similar role in the drone or technology industry.
Technical Skills: a strong technical knowledge of drone hardware and software, including the ability to troubleshoot technical issues and repair drones if necessary. They should also be proficient in computer programming languages and software development tools used in drone applications.
Communication Skills: strong communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as the ability to effectively communicate with students, staff, and external partners.
Teamwork: able to work collaboratively with other members of the team, including instructors and administrative staff, to achieve the goals of the drone school.
Research Skills: able to conduct research and development activities related to drones, including testing new equipment, exploring new applications, and improving existing drone technology.
Certification: relevant certification in areas such as electronics, electrical systems, or robotics is an added advantage.
Project Management Skills: have the ability to manage projects, including developing project plans, tracking progress, and meeting deadlines.
