Are you passionate about events and looking to kick-start your career in the events industry? Our client is seeking a dedicated and organized Events Assistant to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Bookings: Coordinate and manage event bookings, ensuring all client needs are met and our events run smoothly.
  • Issue Quotations and Receipts: Prepare and send accurate quotations to clients, as well as issue receipts for payments received.
  • Client Communication: Attend to calls and emails promptly, providing professional and courteous service to all inquiries.
  • Payment Handling: Collect payments from clients and deposit them in accordance with company procedures.
  • Weekly Updates: Provide regular updates to the manager on event bookings, client interactions, and payment status.
  • Event Coordination: Assist in the planning and execution of events, including setup, logistics, and vendor coordination.
  • Client Meetings: Schedule and attend meetings with clients to discuss event details and requirements.
  • Marketing Support: Assist in the creation and distribution of promotional materials and social media updates.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory of event supplies and equipment.
  • Post-Event Follow-Up: Conduct post-event evaluations and follow up with clients for feedback.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 Certificate
  • Certificate/Diploma in any relevant field.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • A proactive and customer-focused approach.
  • Previous experience in event planning.
