We are looking for a Sales Representative
In this position, you will be reporting to the Team Leader. You will be responsible for implementing the Company strategy within an allocated customer base to achieve business objectives of increased profitability, excellent customer service and excellent in trade execution.
Among other responsibilities, you are expected to:
- Develop business opportunities by visiting potential customers and evaluating their suitability according to established criteria
- Execute business opportunities within budgeted parameters and implemented as per regulations and customer agreement
- Update continuously the customer master file to ensure that accurate customer records are maintained
- Follow up on requests and problems until rectified or answered to the customers’ satisfaction and company standards
- Manage financial accounts and assets for the area to ensure those trade resources are secure and used efficiently and effectively
- Ensure sound management of merchandising and promotion in outlets to achieve brand awareness, volume and market
- Develop annual sales plans and update them according to agreed standards taking into account sales volumes, placing of equipment, projected growths, market trends, competition and seasonal fluctuations
- Evaluate account plans against the objectives of the channel business plan
- Ensure that account plans are clearly communicated to the channel management team and agreed upon recommendations are implemented.
If you have the following:
- Full Grade twelve certificate
- Degree in a Marketing or Business related field
- Minimum of three (3) years’ work experience in the FMCG industry
- Computer Literacy ( i.e. Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Customer Engagement
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Negotiation and influencing skills
- Ability to analyse data
- Understanding of logistics
- Good communicator
- Team leadership skills
