JOB SUMMARY: Carry out fabrication works including modification of mechanical works.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
−Responsible for fabrication and welding of various mining components.
−Read and interpret mechanical drawings with regards to metal fabrication
−Review of maintenance tasks and procedures
−Provide support to various maintenance sections requiring services of boiler making
−Ensure compliance to mine Safety and Health standards & procedures
−Responsible for safe guarding welding tools and equipment
−Maintenance of boiler systems and diagnosis
−Identification of potential safety and health hazards
−Effective communication with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure targets are met.
−Assemble and install mining components using various welding and metal fabrication techniques.
−Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
−Craft certificate in metal fabrication or welding
−2 years of metal fabrication or boiler making experience in mining industry
−MIG and TIG welding experience
−Ability to work with minimum supervision
−EIZ membership
−Valid silicosis medical certificate
