Eco-lodge

The position requires management of the restaurant in a small eco-lodge. This includes meal preparation, cooking, presentation, inventory ordering and tracking, menu creation and maintenance, costing and pricing, cleanliness, and management of assistants. It is a hands-on position requiring good performance in all areas.

Must demonstrate the following qualities or skills:

  • passionate about cooking, learning new recipes, and serving great meals with an emphasis on healthy food!
  • consistent in quality of food production
  • good at communicating, comfortable with guest interaction
  • self-motivated, reliable, and trustworthy
  • responsible, innovative and hard-working
  • able to work well with other staff
  • particular about quality and detail
  • creative in preparation and in presentation
  • very attentive to cleanliness and hygiene
  • knowlegable about how to schedule jobs for the slower periods
  • competent in managing a small staff (of 1-3)
  • eager to continuously improve the restaurant and its reputation
  • able to withstand work in a fast paced and often hot environment.
