Eco-lodge
The position requires management of the restaurant in a small eco-lodge. This includes meal preparation, cooking, presentation, inventory ordering and tracking, menu creation and maintenance, costing and pricing, cleanliness, and management of assistants. It is a hands-on position requiring good performance in all areas.
Must demonstrate the following qualities or skills:
- passionate about cooking, learning new recipes, and serving great meals with an emphasis on healthy food!
- consistent in quality of food production
- good at communicating, comfortable with guest interaction
- self-motivated, reliable, and trustworthy
- responsible, innovative and hard-working
- able to work well with other staff
- particular about quality and detail
- creative in preparation and in presentation
- very attentive to cleanliness and hygiene
- knowlegable about how to schedule jobs for the slower periods
- competent in managing a small staff (of 1-3)
- eager to continuously improve the restaurant and its reputation
- able to withstand work in a fast paced and often hot environment.
