The City of Livingstone is considered the Tourist Capital of Zambia, but it has also become the region’s Adventure Capital. A wide variety of world-class activities are on offer; from canoeing down the mighty Zambezi, the thrill of Microlight flights and Helicopter flights over the Falls, river rafting and luxury cruises.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
1.Responsibilities
a. You are responsible to clean the boat you are assign to.
b. Managing the crew members according to the company laid down structures.
c. Report any technical or manual faults on the boats to the duty skipper.
d. Ensure that all oil and fuel levels are checked before you start your cruise.
e. Ensure all accidents are reported immediately.
f. The boat must be prepared 30min before cruise start.
g. Each trip will be recorded in the log books after every trip.
h. If you are duty skipper of the day you must make sure that all fuel is locked up at night
i. If required, you need to go and buy fuel.
j. You will also do your duties whenever needed for fishing trips
k. If needed you will do the guiding on the quad bikes
l. The days there are no MQ trip you will report to RL to help out with AQ or RS.
m. You responsible for keeping MQ material in good condition.
n. You must keep the canoes and paddles clean.
o. The lifejackets must be washed once a month
p. Keep the MQ store room neat.
q. Your knowledge about fauna and flora must be good at all times.
r. There will always be two guides on a trip.
2. Training
a. You will be one of the instructors for the Advanced training course
b. you will together with the head guide be in charge of Fishing guide training
3.Safety
a. To ensure safety of your co-workers at all time
b. To ensure safety of the clients at all time
c. To ensure your own safety at all time
QUALIFICATION:
1. Must have a Louche master
2. Must be fluent in English
3. Excellent swimmer
4. Above the age of 18
5. Must have a knowledge of the Zambezi river
6. Must have 5 years work experience
7.Must have master’s class 3
