Lusaka Institute of Applied Sciences (LIAS) has over 10 years of experience in training Health professionals at Diploma level and has up to date, qualified over 2, 500 Registered Nurses andClinical Officers. The Institution has set itself on a firm expansion course and changing stakeholder environment being experienced across the country, a number of opportunities and challenges have emerged with this phenomenon.

In its quest to meet National and Global Human Resource needs the Institution has embarked on a new strategy to maintain its progress. In view of this, the College is therefore seeking the services of selfless goal-oriented, qualified and skilled individual to take up the following position on a full-time basis:-

1.0 IT TECHNICIAN (01)

JOB PURPOSE:   To provide ICT Services and support to members of staff and

Students as authorized by Management; which entails installing, upgrading and repairing ICT related equipment and software in the Institution including various practical sites.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Administer Information Technology Services for College
  • Cord-ordination and Administration of Students’ Information platforms and systems
  • Inventory and Administration of Inst6itutional ICT Equipment
  • Assisting Head of  Departments Production of Monthly academic reports
  • To ensure that the Institutional ICT systems and equipment is constantly monitored and serviced.
  • To archive electronic data
  • Any other duties assigned by the Supervisor from time to time.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate;
  • At least five (3) years relevant work experience
  • Diploma in Information Communication Technology
  • Good Communication and report writing skills

2.0 REGISTRY CLERK/ DATA ENTRY CLERK

JOB PURPOSE: To maintain, plan and control all student records and Information for easy retrieval and reference

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Organizing and administering Student records
  • Overseeing the student admissions, registration and graduation process
  • Ensuring records are updated with new grades, attendance and finances
  • Enter detailed Student data into computer systems
  • Train staff on how to use software related to records administration
  • Manage, process and enter data from extensively detailed paperwork
  • Check in students’ and families for appointments
  • Perform clerical tasks such printing, photocopying and filing academic records
  • Keeping student information confidential and secure participating in student service Committees and initiatives.
  • Any other duties assigned by the Supervisor from time to time.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate;
  • Diploma in Registry and Records Management or its equivalent
  • Good understanding of Microsoft packages; such as Excel, word and Power point
  • At least five (3) years relevant work experience in a similar position
  • Good Communication and report writing skills

3.0 DRIVER  (01)

JOB PURPOSE:  Ensure that the vehicle is always fueled and ready for use; Arrange for vehicle repairs as needed; Keep mileage records and repair records s up-to- date. Carry out minor repairs to Institutional Vehicles.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • To drive College Vehicles
  • Transport College staff to assignments as directed;
  • Pick up and dropping off post, other packages, purchases or parcels;
  • Maintain the vehicle to the satisfactory standard acceptable to the College
  • Check and carry out routine maintenance to ensure that the vehicle is in good working order for use by the College staff
  • Any other duties assigned by the Supervisor from time to time.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate;
  • At least five (5) years relevant work experience of driving heavy duty vehicles/buses
  • Must have a valid Class CE/PSV SADC driver’s license;
  • Must be in possession of Heavy Duty Motor Vehicle mechanical Certificate
  • Good Communication and report writing skills

4.0 DRIVER  (02)

JOB PURPOSE:   Ensure that the vehicle is always fueled and ready for use; Arrange for vehicle repairs as needed; Keep mileage records and repair records s up-to- date. Carry out minor repairs to Institutional Vehicles

5.0 SENIOR SECURITY OFFICER (01) TO REPORT BY 1ST DECEMBER,2022

JOB PURPOSE: Protection of assigned premises, assets and personnel.

Maintains security records and detects potential threats, deter thefts and prevention of any illegal activity.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Supervise security team
  • Conduct security awareness trainings to staff
  • Be conversant with the operations of security department and enforcement Institutional security regulations and Policies
  • Report daily incidents or occurrences as recorded in the occurrence book
  • Conduct investigations where necessary and submit findings in liaison with the police of theft and other serious matters.
  • Check building parameters for risk areas of a security breach
  • Ensure that all security equipment is in good order and well maintained i.e., alarms, panic buttons, fire extinguishers, security lights
  • Ensure all entrances and exists in the work premises are secured
  • Monitor CCTV activities for any incidences
  • Prepare departmental reports for management review
  • Updating and maintaining security procedural documents
  • Any other administrative duties as required

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate with five “O” Levels
  • Certificate in Security Services
  • Security training from Zambia Police/Zambia army or any other security wing
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a senior security role
  • Experience working in an Education Institutional Setup will be an added advantage
  • Must be Computer Literate

6.0 SECURITY GUARD (01)

JOB PURPOSE: Protection of assigned premises, assets and personnel.
