1. Requirements and Experience:
- Strong subject knowledge and curriculum expertise.
- Uphold professional teaching values and build supportive relationships.
- Execute effective planning, teaching, and assessment methods.
- Implement innovative classroom practices in a safe, inclusive environment.
- Engage professionally with all stakeholders.
- Maintain confidentiality, sound judgment, time management, and multitasking skills.
2. Qualifications:
- Diploma in Education (Bachelor’s degree or PGCE preferred).
- Experience in teaching across the Primary range; Cambridge Primary Curriculum experience is a plus.
- Proficient in English (reading/writing) and IT tools (e.g., Microsoft Office).
- Commitment to promoting global citizenship in the classroom.
- Open to newly qualified teachers.
3. Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
3.1 Academic Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with class teachers in planning and preparation.
- Teach individuals, groups, or entire classes.
- Set up classrooms, implement plans, and use strategies to reinforce learning objectives.
- Support learners and foster independent working skills.
- Carry out administrative tasks (e.g., displays, photocopying, etc.) and engage in academic progress discussions.
- Use diverse teaching tools (practical, visual, interactive) to enhance understanding and learning.
- Support during specialist lessons (e.g., Library, Music, Art, PE, ICT).
3.2 Pastoral Care:
- Guide learners between lessons and enforce behavior policies.
- Carry out assigned duties and address emotional/social concerns promptly.
- Adhere to the Child Protection Policy and report safeguarding concerns.
- Support initiatives like House points, student council, and suggestion boxes.
- Take charge of the class and implement rewards/sanctions when necessary.
