Lusaka South University College (LSUC) established in 2020 targets to be one of the leading provider of Higher Educational Programmes in Zambia.
We target to recruit 1000 students enrolling into national and international recognized courses and training as we open our gates to the general public in our first January 2024 Intake. We have the following openings.
The University College is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to play an important role in the shaping of the future development in the School of Agri- Business and Environmental Health
1. Part Time Lecturer X 5
Candidate should be highly motivated and passionate about making a mark in the education sector in respect to the field applied for in the School of Agri-Business and Environmental Health Specialized in any of the following:
1) Farm Business Management & Agronomy
2) Poultry Farming
3) Aquaculture Management
4) Water Resources Management
5) Certificate in Agric-Irrigation and Drainage Management
6) Environmental and Social Impact Assessment
Qualifications
To be considered for these positions one must have the following qualifications;
A Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Agri-Business, Agric Engineering or Equivalent, Environmental Engineering/Health
A Relevant Master’s Degree is an added Advantage
Teaching/Lecturing Methodology Certification.
Five (5) years Practicale and teaching experience will be added advantage.
Summary of Job Responsibilities
Provide lectures for the above mentioned courses.
Develop and improve course outlines and teaching materials for the assigned courses.
Carry out research and publish materials.
Supervising students’ research and practicle work.
Prepare lesson plans at the start of each session
Key Qualities and skills:
Self-motivated and resourceful with strong intellectual ability.
Ability to research and create new knowledge.
Should be a goal-getter and a team player.
Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
Must be articulate and have strong interpersonal skills.
High level of planning and organizing skills.
Must be familiar with Moodle e-learning platform or other e-learning platforms.
Passionate about teaching and research.
