The digital media coordinator role is to create and maintain an online presence for both Media 365 and its clients. This includes creating and curating shareable content, and determining the appropriate platforms for the content. In short developing and driving the strategic approach of digital platforms for impact.

The digital media coordinator works in coordination with other departments to support the campaign development functions of various clients and products.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The tasks outlined below should be interpreted as examples of the work and not necessarily all inclusive:

  • Research audience: understand their needs, wants, motivations, key issues
  • Develop a results-driven strategy of a campaign or client, in coordination with other departments and function leads
  • Develops editorial calendars maintaining a brand voice
  • Write and post engaging content for digital media platforms, including blogs and e-newsletters
  • Create and collaborate with graphic designer to create and edit visual assets for digital media
  • Provides listening and monitoring of managed platforms
  • Submits monthly monitoring reports, including analytics, comments etc
  • Assess SEO configurations
  • Develop and foster relationships: interact with users and respond to social media
    messages, comments
  • Attend events and produce live social media content
  • Keep up to date with influencers for different audiences
  • Remain updated on technology and digital media trends to ensure you bring best and latest methods to the job Creative Support
  • Participate in brainstorming especially to further strategies for clients and company

To be considered, you must have a bachelor degree in marketing or a related field and at least 1 year’s work experience. If you do not have a degree, you will be considered with a high school qualification and 3 – 5 years experience in social media management.

You must have strong interpersonal skills, ability to follow instruction, work quickly and
professionally. You need attention to detail and a creative flair. You must be willing to work long hours.

  • Passion for social media and proficiency with various social media platforms and social media management tools
  • Strong copywriting and copy editing skills
  • Proficiency with photo and video editing tools
  • Knowledge and understanding of young people in Zambia and their trends
  • Experience developing social media presence
  • Experience managing social media profiles
