Nanga Farms Ltd. Is a large, irrigated Sugarcane Estate situated near Mazabuka in the Southern Province of Zambia. The Company is part of the Illovo Sugar Africa Group, and its main activities are the cultivation of 2,860 hectares of Sugarcane and the rearing of 1,400 head of Cattle. The Company now invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the position of: –
POSITION: PLUMBERS (2 POSITIONS)
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the position of Plumbers. These positions will report to the Irrigation Foreman and the Building Foreman, respectively.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
The main purpose of the job is to install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, taps, fittings, drainage systems, fixtures, while ensuring that all subordinates are in the correct personal protective equipment (PPE), and completing any other tasks assigned from time to time on time.
Collaborate with the external Contractors and Electricians.
Perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems.
Respond to diagnoses and resolve plumbing emergences.
Keeping of accurate records of time spent working, description of work performed, and material used.
Preparations of cost estimates.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Full Grade 12 Certificate.
Craft Certificate in Plumbing and sheet Metal/level one Trade test in Agriculture Mechanics.
Ability to read and follow blueprints and rough drawings
Two years’ work experience in a related field is an added advantage
Knowledge in Safety Health Environment Risk & Quality (SHERQ)
Communication skills.
Planning and Organisational Skills.
