1. SURVEY ASSISTANT
Reporting to the Technical Services Manager
JOB PURPOSE
The purpose of the job is to assist the Senior Farm Manager in charge with Hands on Survey and Land Preparation Operations.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct all Topographical and routine survey works
- Leveling of longitudinal sections of drains and waterways
- Producing site contour maps and plans / Field design proposals
- Designing of furrow direction lines in the fields and installing (staking out).
- Be able to supervise the installation of the planned field features (Drains, Roads and or waterways)
- To maintain safety, health, environmental and quality awareness in the section
- Be able to Train, delegate work and supervise the subordinates
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Be able to use GPS technology as well as Dumpy level and laser beam leveling equipment
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Full Grade 12 Certificate.
- Minimum of Certificate in Survey from recognized institution
- Minimum of 1 year post qualifying experience in a similar position
- Must be computer literate preferably with experience in MS Word, Excel and survey software packages.
2. CLERK – 01
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Full grade twelve certificates (Credit or better in Math’s, Sciences, English and any other 2 subjects).
- Certificate in any business course.
- Experience will be an added advantage.
- Interpersonal and technical skills, personal organization as well as high integrity are required.
- Good computer skills especially in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft word and Microsoft power point.
3. PLUMBER – 01
This post, reports to the building Supervisor and would suite an ambitious self-motivated person.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Installing, repairing and Maintaining plumbing systems and fixtures on the Farm
- Planning, providing bills of quantities and estimates for plumbing jobs
- Maintaining appropriate service and records
- Performing other duties assigned by the supervisor
- Carrying out plumbing assignments
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Full Grade 12 Certificate
- Certificate in Plumbing
- Minimum of 1 year work experience
