We are currently looking to hire an energetic and innovative person to fill the position of food technologist. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Lead and oversee ongoing production of food stuffs
- Support business growth through product innovation and improvement initiatives
- Make product samples for internal and external customers
- Development and implementation of innovative products in the food industry taking into account its cost and quality
- Manage the food safety program including achieving compliance with any external standards
- Providing technical expertise and support to management regarding food and beverages
- Perform audits to investigate and identify concerns and areas of opportunity within the food industry.
- Efficient planning scheduling and execution of a wide range of research projects of food products
- Maintain recipe data base
Qualifications
- Full grade 12 certificate
- At least a diploma in Food science or any related course.
- At least 2years experience in the food manufacturing industry.
- Must possess a HACCP certification
