LABORATORY TECHNICIAN
Contract: Permanent
Reporting to the Quality Specialist the successful candidate will be accountable for the
Following:
- Ensuring that raw materials are Inspected physically, during the brewing process and that they conform to set specifications
- Ensuring that brewing samples of the main brew are analyzed during the production process
- Ensuring that all tanks and other vessels used are cleaned
- Ensuring that the handling of chemicals and reagents are followed as per standard procedure
- Ensuring that storing, handling and disposing of hazardous substances are adhered to as per procedure
- Ensuring that sampling is carried out as per manual provided
- Ensuring that samples are identified, verified and handled to retain integrity as per manual
- Ensuring that relevant apparatus, equipment and reagents are prepared as per manual
- Ensuring that accurate results are generated at specified times
- Ensuring that results are recorded and reported as per standard manuals
- Ensuring that non-conformance is identified and eliminated according to set standard procedures
- Ensuring that out of control procedures are adhered to
- Ensuring that equipment are maintained and calibrated according to manual methods
- Ensuring that equipment calibration frequencies are adhered to
- Ensuring that calibration records are available and updated
This job is particularly suitable for candidates who meet the following minimum requirements
- Full Grade twelve certificate with at least 5 Credits Mathematics, English and Science Inclusive.
- Technician Certificate in industry or Laboratory Science
- Two years’ experience in a related field
- Committed to quality, sober character and attentive to detail.
- Physical fitness and hardworking
- A team player with the ability to work shifts.
- Computer literate added advantage
