We are inviting applications to fill the following vacant position:
BREWERY MANAGER
Contract: Permanent
Reporting to the Regional Manager, the successful candidate will be accountable for the following:
- Ensuring Continuous Improvement in all areas of operation; Brewing, Packaging, Quality Control/Assurance, Administration, Sales and Distribution, Human Resources and Maintenance
- Ensuring compliance with laid down standards and procedures
- Monitoring competitor activities in area of operation
- Monitoring government initiatives and major concerns regarding social issues
- Ensuring the promotion of practices that support the company’s brands and image
- Preparing the annual fixed cost budget
- Managing fixed costs within budgets
- Preparing monthly accruals and submit to finance department as well as participate in DODS meetings
- Explaining adverse cost variances for both over and under-spend
- Improving financial ratios and any other financial indices pertaining to the operation
- Developing, Implementing and Monitoring controls and their efficacy to provide stakeholders reasonable assurance regarding governance of the business
- Ensuring the development and implementation of initiatives that support and entrench an ethos of productivity, continuous improvement, and long-term sustainability; including though not limited to, succession Planning, Skills Acquisition, Performance Management & CAP
- Ensuring harmonious employee relations that support the objective above
- Managing all employees without fear or favor that the policies, procedures, and all other control systems relating to human resources and organizational effectiveness are adhered to
- Understand and Promote the Company Vision Mission and Values Leading by example
- Ensuring that SHE program of the business unit is well managed
The job is particularly suitable for candidates who meet the following minimum requirements and possess the following attributes.
- Grade 12 Certificate
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Natural Science or Related field
- Project Management Skills
- Experience in Microsoft Office, PC based electronic communication
- Polite with ability to communicate well
- Team player
- Sober mind, self-starter physically fit and honest
- Applicants should have a valid driver’s license
