The National Technology Business Centre (NTBC) is a Statutory Body established by the Science and Technology Act No. 26 of 1997 and Statutory Instrument No. 136 of 1999, both of which are founded in the National Science and Technology Policy of 1996. NTBC is managed by a Board of Directors drawn from various sectors and industry. The Centre’s main objective is to ensure the promotion, marketing, and transfer of proven and sustainable technologies to entrepreneurs in order to maximize their utilisation and contribute to sustainable national industrial development.
The NTBC is seeking to recruit suitably qualified and experienced Zambian Citizens to fill the following Positions:
(a) TECHNOLOGY MARKETING SPECIALIST
JOB PURPOSE
- To supervise and undertake the marketing of appropriate technologies to industry in order to facilitate technology transfer, promotion, and commercialization.

SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervises and undertakes effectively the preparation of technology marketing strategies in order to facilitate commercialization.
- Supervises and undertakes effectively the promotion of appropriate technologies in order to attract potential customers.
- Supervises and undertakes effectively the promotion of women participation programmes in science and technology in order to increase their contribution to science, technology, and innovation.
- Supervises and undertakes effectively the conduct of market assessments in order to ascertain the market viability of innovative products and services.
- Supervises timely the development of work plans and the implementation of the performance management system in order to monitor, evaluate, and enhance performance.
- Supervises effectively human, financial, and other resources in order to facilitate attainment of set objectives.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENT
- Full Form V/Grade 12 School Certificate
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or its equivalent
- Member of the Zambia Institute of Marketing
- Minimum Relevant Pre-Job Experience of 6 Years
(b) ICT OFFICER SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR
JOB PURPOSE
- Undertakes effectively the design, development, testing, and deployment of Information Systems in order to meet end user requirements.

SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Undertakes periodically user needs assessments in order to facilitate business process re-engineering, automation, and systems development.
- Undertakes effectively the provision of technical support to end users in order to ensure high availability of IT systems and services to users.
- Undertakes effectively the design, development, and implementation of security measures for IT systems in order to prevent unauthorized access and protect the integrity of the Centre’s data.
- Undertakes effectively the provision of guidelines and support for application users in order to ensure high availability and maintenance of business applications.
- Undertakes effectively the design and administration of the Centre’s databases in order to facilitate storage, processing, and retrieval of information.
- Undertakes effectively the acquisition, configuration, installation, and maintenance of IT hardware in order to facilitate availability and provision of IT services.
- Undertakes effectively the design, development, and implementation of the Centre’s networks in order to ensure secure connectivity to the Centre’s IT resources.
- Undertakes effectively capacity building of end-users in order to enable them to effectively utilise various ICT systems to perform their work.
- Undertakes timely documentation of information systems and systems inventory in order to facilitate maintenance and business continuity.
- Undertakes effectively administration of the Digital Innovation Hub in order to facilitate growth in ICT Innovations.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENT
- Full Form V/Grade 12 School Certificate
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Studies or its equivalent
- Member of the Information and Communication Technology Association of Zambia
- Minimum Relevant Pre-Job Experience of 3 years.
(c) PERSONAL ASSISTANT
JOB PURPOSE
- To undertake secretarial and administrative duties in the office of the Director in order to facilitate efficient and effective operations.
NATURE OF EMPLOYMENT

SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Types accurately correspondence and documents in order to ensure production of high-quality documents.
- Receives daily correspondence from both internal and external sources in order to ensure appropriate attention and action.
- Records timely appointments in order to facilitate attention and action.
- Receives and attends politely to visitors in order to enhance the image of the office.
- Undertakes timely preparation of office budgets in order to facilitate acquisition of requisites and prudent expenditure of monetary resources.
- Attends timely to telephone calls and electronic correspondence in order to facilitate communication.
- Undertakes accurately the maintenance of office records in order to facilitate storage and retrieval of information.
- Undertakes effectively the management of travel and logistical arrangements for the Director in order to facilitate smooth operations.
- Undertakes effectively preparations for meetings for the Director in order to facilitate smooth operations.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENT
- Full Form V/Grade 12 School certificate
- Minimum Professional Qualification Diploma in Secretarial Studies or its equivalent
- Shorthand/Typing speed of 120/65 wpm
- Minimum Relevant Pre-Job Experience of 3 years
