1.0 Job Identification
1.1 Job Title: Assistant Resident Engineer
1.2 Grade: NGM 5
1.3 Department: Design and Construction Supervision
1.4 Location: Maputo, Mozambique
2.0 Job Purpose
Reporting to the Resident Engineer, the job holder shall be responsible for Supervision of Construction works for a Concrete Ground reservoir Project funded by the World Bank.
Responsibilities
- Interpret Detailed Designs and work closely with Contractor to make sure the work is done according to the Designs.
- Supervise the execution of all civil works and ensure timely completion of assignments within defined budget and schedules Projects
- Prepare Payment certificate for works completed and submit to the Resident Engineer.
- Prepare progress reports on project works and completion reports
- Perform any duties assigned by Resident Engineer from time to time
Minimum Qualifications and Work Experience
- Grade 12 School Certificate
- University Degree or Diploma in Civil/Water Engineering or related
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in design and construction supervision of large water projects, water utility operations, project implementation supervision preferably in water and Waste Water projects
Required Competencies and Personal Attributes
- Able to use project management software
- Should have traceable design software, project planning and supervisory skills
- Should be a team player
- Good Interpersonal skills
