The National Health Insurance Management Authority through the NHI Project seeks to recruit the services of the following:

1.MEMBER SERVICES MANAGER (X1)

Reports to the Project Lead

Job Purpose: –

The main purpose of this role is to conduct member registration across various segments of the population. Other tasks include:

  1. Develops and implements member registration strategy
  2. Manages the general education about NHIS programs and services that members may be eligible for
  3. Effectively communicate with the members and the general public on the registration process,
  4. Oversee the registration of members and capture of biometric and imagery features for registered members,
  5. Provide guidance and education on services on offer to members,
  6. Effectively plans, communicates and coordinates membership registration activities with colleagues and supervisors,
  7. Maintains records of member interactions, transactions, comments, compliments, and complaints and
  8. Effectively performs any other official duties assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

Qualification

  1. Secondary Education Full Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
  2. Minimum Academic/Professional Qualification Degree in Marketing, Sales, a relevant business course or equivalent Professional
  3. Qualification. A Masters Degree will be an added advantage
  4. Minimum Relevant pre-job Experience
    • Minimum five years’ work experience in a sales related field
    • Experience in insurance, financial services, telecommunication or related field with demonstrated experience of managing Direct Sales Agents.
  5. Other skills

a. Ability to communicate fluently in English and local languages
b. Computer literate
c. Good interpersonal relations
d. Able to generate reports
e. Must have a valid driver’s license

Terms of Contract: 3 years renewable subject to performance

2. PROVINCIAL COORDINATORS (X11) – Livingstone, Mansa, Chipata, Chinsali, Kasama, Choma, Ndola, Lusaka, Solwezi, Kabwe and Mongu

Reports to the Regional Coordinator

Job Purpose: –

The main purpose of this role is to coordinate member registration in a Province. Other tasks include:

  1. Coordination of Project activities within the Province,
  2. Provide guidance and education on services on offer to members,
  3. Coordinates the customer registration in the Province,
  4. Effectively plans, communicates, and coordinates membership registration activities with colleagues and supervisors in the Province,
  5. Coordinates the day to day operations of the Member Registration Assistants within the Province,
  6. Manages the stakeholder relations within the Province,
  7. Participates in provincial activities,
  8. Supervises maintenance of records of member interactions and ix. Effectively performs any other official duties assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

Qualification

  1. Secondary Education Full Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
  2. Minimum Academic/Professional Qualification Minimum Diploma in
    Marketing, Sales, a relevant business course or equivalent Professional Qualification.

3. HUMAN RESOURCE AND ADMINISTRATION OFFICER

Reports to Human Resource and Administration Manager

Location Lusaka

Job Purpose

The role of the Human Resources and Administration Officer is to assist with the coordination of the Human Resources and Administration functions in the Project to facilitate the effective execution of Project deliverables.

Duties include the following:-

  1. Facilitating and participating in the selection and recruitment of human resources in conjunction with line departments,
  2. Ensuring that performance appraisals are carried out accordingly by all employees,
  3. Planning and forecasting human resources in relation to present and future needs,
  4. Enforcement of disciplinary and grievance procedure to create a fair and just working environment,
  5. Ensuring that all payroll payments are sent to Finance department in good time and that the payments are correctly computed,
  6. Ensures regular supply of clean water and strict observance of sanitation standards to create a conducive work environment,
  7. Undertakes timely provision of office space to Project staff to
    appropriately accommodate everyone,
  8. Undertakes timely provision and maintenance of Project office equipment to enhance utilization of equipment,
  9. Effectively undertakes the provision and maintenance of the Project transport system to enhance mobility of officers and equipment,
  10. Undertakes timely payment of utility bills to ensure smooth operations of the Project and
  11. Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualification

  1. Secondary Education
    • Full Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
  2. Minimum Academic/Professional Qualification Minimum Diploma in Human
    Resource Management, Public Administration or an equivalent Professional Qualification.
  3. Minimum Relevant pre-job Experience Minimum 3 years’ work experience in a Human Resource and Administration position
