About Optimal Energy:
Optimal Energy is a registered Oil Marketing Company (OMC) in Zambia, dedicated to providing a wide range of fuel products, including Fuel and Lubricants in the local markets. We are looking for a talented and driven Key Account Manager to join our growing team and play a critical role in expanding our customer base and strengthening relationships with existing clients.
Develop and implement strategic plans to attract new clients within the Zambian market
Identify and qualify potential leads, generating interest in Optimal Energy’s fuel offerings.
Build strong and lasting relationships with existing clients, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty.
Proactively identify and propose solutions that meet client needs and drive business growth, focusing on the specific fuel requirements of their operations.
Negotiate and close deals, achieving assigned sales targets for petrol, diesel, kerosene, and other relevant products.
Manage and maintain client relationships using Salesforce CRM, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
Participate in online video screening interviews using Willo, our chosen platform for candidate assessments.
Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, operations, etc.) to deliver exceptional customer service.
Prepare sales reports and presentations, analyzing data and identifying trends within the fuel market.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activity, particularly regarding fuel pricing and availability.
Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a B2B sales role, Within the Energy or Fuel sector.
Proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
Strong understanding of the Zambian fuel market and its key players,
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
Proficient in using Salesforce CRM and other relevant software.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Commitment to ethical and professional conduct.
Highly proficient in digital tools and technologies, possessing strong working knowledge of CRMs like Salesforce.
Adaptable and eager to learn new technologies relevant to the role.
Demonstrates a proactive approach to leveraging technology to enhance efficiency, communication, and data analysis.
