In pursuit of its business strategies in Zambia, the company invites applications from suitably qualified individuals for the position mentioned below, to join its team at ORYX Oil Zambia Ltd, based in Solwezi

key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring site compliance with relevant statutory health and safety legislation.
  • Oversee inventory and supply chain management according to company guidelines.
  • Manage customer complaints and queries in line with Oryx Customer complaints procedure;
  • Conduct period stocks counts and reconciliations with Finance;
  • Prepare and submit daily stocks movement reports to relevant stakeholders internally and externally (customer);
  • Manage non comforming products in line with Oryx and customer’s procedures.
  • Ensure site HSSEQ targets in line with stock controls, customer satisfactions and Health and safety are realised;
  • Develop and implement improvements to existing operational procedures in order to maximize efficiency and cut operations costs;
  • Analyse customers demand trends to ensure timely order fulfilment;
  • Nurture positive relationship with the customers and provide service that meets the customer’s expectations;
  • Nurture positive relationships with all participants in the supply chain to ensure effective product supply to site;

EDUCATION, TRAINING & SKILLS

  • Diploma/ Degree in Purchasing and Supply, Business Administration, Accounts or Engineering.
  • Two years’ logistics experience, preferably in the Petrochemical industry.
  • Basic understanding of Lubricants will be added advantage.
  • Excellent MS office application skills i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint.
  • Self-driven; ability to work independently and ability to make wise decisions on the spot.
  • Good communication skills, Listening, talking and writing
  • Team player
  • High level of integrity
