Job Summary:
As a Car Rental Operations and Sales Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire fleet operation, including fleet utilization, maintenance, inventory management, and sales strategies to ensure optimal vehicle availability and service delivery. Your role will combine fleet management with sales leadership, enabling the growth of both the fleet and revenue through effective operational management, customer relationships, and business development.

Key Responsibilities:

Fleet and Operations Management:

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of vehicle rental agents and administrative staff across all locations.
  • Oversee vehicle inventory management, maintenance, scheduling, and repairs to ensure fleet availability and meet customer demand.
  • Implement operational policies and procedures to optimize workflow, improve fleet performance, and enhance overall service quality.
  • Monitor fleet condition, ensuring timely and efficient maintenance while optimizing vehicle downtime.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to manage fleet availability, ensuring that vehicles meet the needs of various clients.

Sales and Business Development:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth, targeting both corporate and individual clients.
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities, forging strong partnerships with corporate clients, travel agencies, and other strategic partners.
  • Negotiate rental terms and conditions, ensuring favourable outcomes for both clients and the company.
  • Monitor and analyse sales trends, customer feedback, and market conditions to adjust sales and fleet management strategies.

Client and Customer Service Management:

  • Provide leadership in delivering exceptional customer service at all locations, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and issues promptly and effectively, ensuring a positive rental experience.
  • Ensure that service standards are maintained across all interactions with clients and partners.

Reporting and Performance Analysis:

  • Prepare detailed and accurate reports on fleet operations, rental agreements, sales performance, and customer satisfaction metrics for management review.
  • Conduct analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs), fleet utilization, and market trends to continuously improve the company’s rental services and fleet management practices.
  • wIdentify areas of improvement and make recommendations to enhance fleet performance and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience of 3-4 years in fleet management, vehicle rental, or the automotive industry.
  • Strong business development and sales experience with the ability to negotiate and close deals effectively.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • High level of organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM software, and fleet management tools.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
