Our Client, a Multinational Service Provider seeks a Pay and Reward Specialist to assist with ensuring the company complies with all legal responsibilities pertaining to the employees and recommend rewards initiatives which will attract and retain a high standard of employees. Candidate must have 3 to 6 years Experience in a Human Resources Payroll or Rewards role.

JOB SPECIFICATION

Interacts With: HOD’s; Employees, Finance Team, Third Party Providers

JOB DESCRIPTION

Create and maintain payroll records for all employees
Process and calculate a variety of payroll actions including wage, incentive pay, benefits and overtime hours in line with the organizations policies, procedures, regulations, and appropriate labor agreement
Process tax deductions in accordance with Tax Legislation
Manage payroll queries
Process remittances to appropriate agencies for funds withheld from paychecks including pension etc
Check and process the payment of money for Salary increments, promotion, resignations and retirements.
File all necessary documents and maintain an excellent audit trail
Provide advice to employees regarding conditions of service and rates of pay.
Reconcile PAYE, Issue Tax certificates, Process insurance applications
Provide Accurate Monthly reports.
Manage Staff Canteen payouts.
Ensure quality customer service is provided at all times in pursuit of best practice outcomes for payroll work.
Compute commissions for each DSR applying the correct commissions rate
Preparation of individual pays lips for DSR commissions based on verified commissions schedule from billing department; this should also take into account any deductions necessary.
Preparation of the bank transfer schedule based on amounts payable to each DSR per commissions schedule.
Verify bank details for each DSR and make updates as necessary based on changes submitted by sales team leaders.
Submit the bank transfer file together with the commissions schedule to the accountant for review.
Upload the bank transfer file on the banking platform for payment approval by authorized signatories
Review the half yearly final ratings updated by Human Resource Business Partners and submit to Management Team
Review the end of year spread sheet prepared by the Human Resource Business Partners and ensure accuracy before final submission to group reward. Ensure that any changes advised by Regional reward are captured.
Ensure that the HR controls with regards to payments made to exiting staff are adhered
Drive participation in the yearly reward/pay market surveys and feedback information to Human Resource and Training Manager for cascading to Senior Management during pay review and also at the time of benefit review. Keep copies of surveys undertaken.
Ensure the timely resolution of escalated queries and assign adhoc information requests received from Corporate and business areas to team members. Follow-up to ensure timely replies to requests
Escalate to HR and Training Manager and HRBPs any incidents arising out of payroll and reward area and also any breaches to pay and reward controls by functions
Review results of snap-checks and draw-up action plans with Team members. Track action plans to ensure resolution
Deputize for the HR and Training Manager on request
Share Knowledge and best practice with team members
Provide honest, direct and constructive feedback to others
Support other areas of HR where required.

Experience: 4 years
Education Level: Degree
Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Accounting or Business related field
Software: MS Office; Exposure to Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
Equipment: None
Knowledge Of: Human Resources Management; In-country Labour Legislation
Skills To: Strong financial acumen, Excellent communication skills.
Ability To: Understand performance management processes
Personality: Results orientated, Analytical, Innovative
