Pendulum Transport & Fisheries Limited, a state-owned company operating in Mpulungu District is looking for a General Manager to oversee the maritime and road transport operations and drive our expansion plans.
The successful individual will be responsible for:
- Operational Excellence: Overseeing vessel operations, managing company facilities, and optimizing budgets for revenue enhancement.
- Team Leadership: Developing and mentoring a high-performing team to achieve exceptional results.
- Strategic Growth: Identifying new business opportunities and driving sustainable growth for the company.
To succeed in the application for the role, a person will need:
- A proven track record in marine transport management with at least 5 years of experience.
- Academic qualification in business related field, with Transport and Logistics qualification as an added advantage.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- A passion for innovation and a commitment to excellence.
- Be a member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport
- Superior networking skills for tactful handling of relations with stakeholders, regulators and the local community
