Planned Parenthood Association of Zambia (PPAZ) is non-governmental organisation which has existed since 1972 as a voluntary, not-for-profit and non-political organisation advancing the cause of sexual and reproductive health in Zambia. It is a Member Association of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF).

Our vision is realisation of a society in which all people in Zambia enjoy equal sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and have access to quality and affordable SRH information and services.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to advocate for sexual and reproductive health rights of women, men and young people, especially the vulnerable, and to empower them to make free and informed reproductive health choices. We dedicate ourselves to the provision of high quality and sustainable youth-focused sexual and reproductive health services.

PPAZ is seeking suitable candidates to fill up the following positions;

1. Program Director: 1 Position

Brief Job Description: The Program Director will provide strategic leadership, oversee all program activities, and ensure alignment with global fund requirements and MoH priorities. They will also be responsible for reporting to the MoH and global fund.

Qualifications:

i. MBCHB or its equivalent, with Masters in Public Health or equivalent.

ii. Not less than 10 years in HIV Programming with bias towards prevention interventions.

iii. A PHD in a health field will be an added advantage.


2.  Program Manager: 1 Position

Brief Job Description: The Program Manager will assist the Director in program management, coordinating activities, and liaising with SSRs. They will also be responsible for monitoring program progress and ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.

Qualifications:

i. Bachelor’s Degrees in a health or social sciences or population studies or its equivalent with Masters in a relevant field.

ii. Not less than 5 years in HIV Programming and demonstrable bias towards HIV prevention interventions.


3.  Programme Specialist (HIV Prevention): 2 Positions (1 Position KP & 1 Position AGYW)

Brief Job Description: This key position will offer expert technical guidance on HIV prevention strategies, ensuring that program activities are evidence-based and aligned with global best practices.

Qualifications:

i. Any Health-related Degree, with Masters in a medical related field or Public Health.

ii. Not less than 5 years in HIV Programming with bias towards prevention interventions in Key Populations and Adolescent Girls & Young Women.


4.       Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist: 1 Position

Brief Job Description: This role is vital for assessing the program’s impact and ensuring that data collection and analysis meet the global fund’s reporting requirements.

Qualifications:

i. Degrees in Demography or its equivalent, Master’s Degree will be an added advantage in a relevant field.

ii. Not less than 5 years in Monitoring HIV related programs.


5. Finance Manager: 1 Position

Brief Job Description: The Finance Manager will handle the program’s budget, financial reporting, and ensure that all financial aspects are compliant with the MOH and global fund’s guidelines.

Qualifications:

i.  Bachelor of Accountancy, Full ZICA/CA/ACCA/CIMA or its equivalent

ii.  with 10 years’ experience at a senior role.


6. Human Resources and Administration Officer: 1 Position

Brief Job Description: Responsible for Human Resource matters, administration, and logistical support for program staff and SSRs.

Qualifications:

i. Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration.

ii. Not less than 5 years’ experience in a senior human resource role.

iii. Registered to practice Human Resource in Zambia.


7.  Communication and Advocacy Officer: 1 Position

Brief Job Description: This staff member will be responsible for creating awareness about the program, mobilizing community support, and advocating for the rights of the target populations.

Qualifications:

i. Bachelor’s Degree in a social science related field, Master’s Degree will be an added advantage in that field.

ii. Not less than 5 years’ experience in a similar role.


8. Capacity Building Specialist: 1 Positions

Brief Job Description: To ensure SSRs have the necessary skills, this specialist will develop and execute capacity-building initiatives for the SSRs and their staff.

Qualifications:

i. Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration in a relevant field, Master’s Degree will be an added advantage.

ii. Not less than 5 years’ experience in executing a similar role


9. Gender and Inclusion Officer: 1 Position

Brief Job Description: This role is essential for ensuring that gender and inclusion are integrated into all aspects of the program, especially considering the unique vulnerabilities of adolescent girls, young women, and key populations.

Qualifications:

i.  Bachelor’s Degree in a social science related field Master’s Degree will be an added advantage in that field.

ii. Not less than 5 years’ experience in a similar role


10.   Internal Auditor: 1 Position

Brief Job Description: This staff will be responsible for ensuring internal controls are in place and followed. This staff will ensure risks are identified early and managed appropriately to realise value for money during program implementation.

Qualifications:

i. Bachelor of Accountancy, Full ZICA/CA/ACCA/CIMA or its equivalent.

ii. 10 years’ experience at a senior role.


11.   Procurement Officer: 1 Position

Brief Job Description: This role is essential for ensuring adherence to laid down procurement procedures within the organization and that goods and services are procured timely and on schedule to deliver on program objectives.

Qualifications:

i. Bachelor Degree/Graduate Diploma Level 6 (MCIPS).

ii. Not less than 10 years’ experience at a senior role.

iii. Must be Registered with the Professional bodies such as the Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply (ZIPS) /Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS-UK).
