Planned Parenthood Association of Zambia (PPAZ) is a voluntary, not for profit organization that undertakes advocacy work and a qualified person for the position of Sister-In-Charge to be based in Lusaka.
The overall responsibility of the Sister-In-Charge will be to manage the day to day administration of the Reproductive Health Centre. He/she will be responsible for planning, organising, directing and monitoring resources of the Reproductive Health Centre.
Key tasks
- Ensure effective and efficient running of day to day administration of the Centre.
- Ensure provision of quality integrated sexual and reproductive health services
- Supervise and provide technical support to staff regarding the provision of sexual and reproductive health services.
- Participate in the preparation of the overall Association Annual Programme and Budget.
- Compile and submit Monthly, Quarterly, Half Yearly, Annual and other Activity Reports.
- Ensure availability of reproductive health and other non-medical commodities, and equipment needed to enhance service provision in the reproductive health centre.
- Overseeing project implementation and routine monitoring of activities at the centre.
- Provide on-site and off-site training and mentorship for Health Providers and Community Based Service Providers in the project site.
- Represent the organisation at stakeholder meetings as and when assigned.
- Be accountable for all assets of the Association under custody.
- Participate in recruitment of staff for the Reproductive Health Centre.
- Carry out staff appraisals annually and as required.
- Account for project income and expenditure.
Qualification:
- Full grade twelve certificates
- Registered Nurse Midwife
- A qualification in Project Management will be added advantage.
- Valid practicing licence from the General Nursing Council.
Experience:
- At least 5 years experience in the area of Sexual and Reproductive Health
- Conversant with MS office packages.
- Able to work in teams.
- Good written and communication skills
