Job description:
Overall Job Purpose:
The position is responsible for assisting in providing the highest quality services and that all services provided are performed within a safe and timely manner.
Specific Job Responsibilities:
The specific tasks to be performed by the position holder will include;
- Assist to carry out thermoplastic Welding, including Butt welding and extrusion.
- Interpret Engineering Drawings.
- Ability to use the various types of measuring equipment (Tape, Vernier, curvo-marker).
- Ability to competently use hands tools (hacksaw, jig saw, hand planner, files, drills and angle grinders.
- Any other tasks as may be delegated upon by the supervisor.

Experience required to perform in this job:
- Must posses Thermoplastic Welding Competency Certificate or related qualification with Butt and Electrofusion Welding.
- Must be able to interpret drawings, specifications/isometric drawings/plans etc.
- Must be able to understand and implement safe working practices.
- A minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
Qualifications:
- G12 Certificate.
- Thermoplastic Welding Certificates, Levels 1, 2 & 3.
- Trade Certificate from recognized institution will be an added advantage.
- Member of Engineering Institution of Zambia.
