To identify and segment customers in the region, so that necessary effort and resources are applied to profitable segments.

To recruit viable, reliable financially secure Agro Dealers and recommend them to Sales Manager for appointment.

To distribute seed in line with demand pattern in the respective markets to avoid carryover stocks.

Liaise With Agro Dealers to maintain professional relationships, increase their sales, alert them to promotions, sign all contracts with them bringing details to their attention and collecting outstanding funds.

Monitor Field Officers programs, educate, mentor, and motivate them. Ensure procedures are followed as prescribed at all times. Report weekly to the SM on past weeks program and future weeks program.

To regularly carry out marketing intelligence or surveys, regarding market share, seed prices, competition, varietal preferences, prices of commercial crops etc on the market.

To carry out practical promotions in selected areas in the form of field days and demonstration plots and participate in agricultural shows.

To attend to field complaints with minimum delays.

To keep records of sales conducted, travel mode, customers dealt with, stock received, stock sold, stock transferred, stock held, moneys received, moneys banked etc..

To work closely with Accounts Department in debt collection and updating customer accounts.

To submit daily and monthly reports to Commercial Director / Sales Manager on achievements and failures on sales targets and assortment of marketing activities.

To keep records of sales conducted, travel mode, customers dealt with, stock received, stock sold, stock transferred, stock held, moneys received, moneys banked etc..

Requirements

BSc in Agricultural Economics with three (3) years relevant work experience OR

Diploma in Agricultural Business Management with five (5) years relevant work experience

Membership to the Zambia Institute of Marketing would be an added advantage.

Relevant computer skills

Good communication skills and ability to relate with a broad range of players in the market.

A valid Drivers’s License
