An international transport and logistics company is looking to hire a qualified and experienced individual with a minimum of 10 years work experience to oversee all inventory and procurement activities for the Company.

The ideal candidate must have experience in ERP applications, tyre management applications and inventory control with a strong sense of urgency to drive efficiency.

Duties

  • Ensure parts are procured in time before stock is at minimum reorder level
  • Ensure regular stock taking for the stores for all reporting purposes
  • Analyze stores transactions to determine replenishment levels and purchasing plans
  • Maintain oversight of the stores function and ensure all process and procedures are followed
  • Strictly monitor and control the issuance of stock to requesting departments
  • Manage and develop the stores and procurement staff to maintain discipline
  • Develop and drive cost containment initiatives

Requirements

  • Degree in Supply Chain Management/ Purchasing & Supply Management or similar qualification
  • Professional qualifications in CIPS is an added advantage
  • Member of Zambia Institute of Procurement & Supply
  • Minimum required experience – 10 years
  • Age – minimum of 30 years
  • High level of integrity and honesty
  • Willing to work on weekends
  • A good understanding of the transport and logistics business environment
