Educational Qualifications:

A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree, with a minimum duration of four years. This foundational legal education is essential for the candidate to have a comprehensive understanding of legal principles and practices.

Professional Experience:

At least two years of experience in contract drafting. The candidate must demonstrate a proven track record of preparing, reviewing, and negotiating various types of contracts, ensuring they meet legal standards and protect the company’s interests.

Language Proficiency:

Fluency in English, both written and spoken. This includes the ability to draft clear, concise, and legally sound documents, as well as the ability to communicate complex legal concepts effectively to various stakeholders.

Interpersonal Skills:

The ability to work effectively under pressure. The candidate should exhibit resilience and adaptability, managing tight deadlines and high-stakes situations while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Computer Literacy:

Proficiency in using computer software and applications relevant to the role, including word processing, legal research databases, and compliance management tools. This ensures the candidate can efficiently handle digital documentation and communication.

In addition to the above, we would also value candidates who possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Familiarity with the legal and regulatory frameworks within our operational jurisdictions (Zambia, Zimbabwe, South Africa) would be an added advantage.
