About the Job

The Programme Assistant will ensure that the programme is supported to achieve its goals, deliverables and spend on a quarterly and annual basis. The Programme Assistant will be responsible for programme coordination support. He/she will also provide support for administration coordination, including logistics, reporting coordination, working with other team members, and engaging across teams for strong flows of information across the organization.

This position will be reporting to the Assigned Thematic Head.

Qualifications and Experience

The Programme Assistant candidates must have technical and administrative skills with relevant experience and qualifications in any one or more of the following: Communications,  Monitoring and Results Measurement, Gender, Research and Project Management.

  • Grade 12 school certificate
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Economics, Business Administration, or any relevant and equivalent field
  • Strong communications, influencing and engagement skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with people of varied backgrounds
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple and time-sensitive deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize new software applications effectively
  • He/she should be detail-oriented, self-starter, team worker, result-oriented with good writing skills including analytical and computer skill (excel and other spread sheets).
