The Citizens Economic Empowerment Commission a Body Corporate established under the Citizens’ Economic Empowerment Act No. 9 of 2006 to enhance broad-based economic empowerment, foster citizens’ economic ownership, control and management of economic resources, as well as to promote economic empowerment of targeted citizens is inviting applications from suitably qualified Zambians to fill the following position:

Registry Clerk (1 Position) – Lusaka

Reporting to the Administrative Officer, the ideal candidate will be responsible for provision efficient and effective central Registry support service for the Commission.



Duties and Responsibilities

  • To maintain the Commission central registry system including storing, arranging, indexing and classifying records;
  • Develop, implement and administer policies and procedures that promote efficiency in records management
  • Facilitating the development of filing systems and maintaining these to meet administrative, legal, and financial requirements;
  • Devising and ensuring the implementation of retention and disposal schedules;
  • Overseeing the management of electronic and/or paper-based information;
  • Setting up, maintaining, reviewing, and documenting records systems;
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations;
  • Preserving CEEC’s corporate memory and heritage;
  • Managing circulation/transfer of records and documents;
  • Responding to enquiries relating to items maintained in the Registry and as required, search for and provide information for Directorates;
  • Sorting information and documents for filling according to database and record management system protocols;
  • Classifying and coding documents for inclusion in the database and record management systems;
  • Remove active files for archiving;
  • Registration and dispatch of outgoing mail.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Grade Twelve School Certificate
  • Diploma in Records Management/Library Studies
  • Effective communication and organizational skills
  • Excellent computer skills including the ability to operate computerized library, database and graphics programmes at proficient level
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Tact and discretion for dealing with confidential information
  • At least 3 years working experience in a similar position
