The University of Lusaka is inviting applications from qualified candidates to fill the following positions in the Academic Office.

Registry Officers (2)

The role holders will be required to assist the Senior Records Officer in the management of the University’s records.

Summary of Job Responsibilities

  • Manage records by establishing, implementing and maintaining a database.
  • Filing of correspondences such as admissions, deferment and exemptions letters into student files.
  • Issuing out examination slips and certificates to graduates.
  • Ensure that examination scripts are well managed.
  • Retrieving of files on request.
  • Prepare and issue results transcripts to students
  • Create and update files for students.
  • Participate in the auditing of files for potential graduands.
  • Participate in the administration of the University’s examinations.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Records Management, Library Studies and or any other related field
  • Bachelor of Arts in Library and Information Science and any other related field.
  • At least three (3) years’ experience in a similar position

Key Qualities and skills

  • Must be able to work with minimum supervision
  • Must have very good interpersonal skills
  • Must have very good Communication skills
  • Must have good planning and organizing skills.
