JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for ensuring no revenue leakage or fraud occurs in the company’s Mobile Money (Airtel Money) Product & improving the control environment for Airtel Money through reliable analytics
REPORTING TO THE HEAD, REVENUE ASSURANCE & FRAUD MANAGEMENT, THE MAIN DUTIES ARE:
Drive Product Implementation Validation
- Work together with Revenue Assurance Central (RACE) team to ensure that all new products and existing product changes on Airtel Money are configured correctly on the Mobile Money system
- Ensure that all new products & existing product changes are comprehensively tested/validated
- Liaison contact between Revenue Assurance central team (India) and local Airtel Money Projects, Operations & Commercial teams
- Ensure zero leakage on newly implemented products
- Continuously improve the end to end Airtel Money New Product Implementation process
- Responsible for maintaining all Product Concept Note Documents (PCNs) and a master list/tracker of all Airtel Money Products and Services
Reporting & Analysis
- Monitor transaction trends for all Airtel Money services and identify areas of opportunity/ revenue improvement
- Monthly wallet movement reconciliation to ensure inter-wallet balance transfers are reconciled
- Trend & Analysis of GSM product purchase via Airtel Money
- Cash IN and Cash OUT (Deposit & Withdrawals) performance analysis
- Validation of end to end churn process (cleanup of unused numbers on the Airtel Money systems)
- Monthly Airtel Money business health-check dashboard report
- Timely and accurate validation of all Airtel Money Commissions Payout based on applied business rules
- Trust bank wallet reconciliations
- Monitoring & Analysis of International Airtel Money transactions
- Merchant billing & revenue share reconciliation to ensure 100% accuracy in billing of all merchants based on contract terms
Mobile Money Fraud Management
- Responsible for implementation of new controls and alerts on the Airtel Money Fraud Management system
- Responsible for monitoring and reporting on all multiple Airtel Money wallets registered under single ID
- Responsible for monitoring all merchant account details configured on the system to capture any ‘dummy’ account creations
- Identify leakage and fraud gaps within Airtel Money processes and policies
- Review and correct Role & Responsibility gaps/alerts as triggered by the SAS Fraud Management system
Governance
- Overall responsibility of the Airtel Money Revenue Assurance Balanced Score Card
- Oversee the execution of Airtel Money Self Validation Check Controls performed by Revenue Assurance Central team (RACE) ensuring completeness, timeliness and accuracy of controls done
- Ensure appropriate closure response is provided within 48 hours for all open alarm notifications that are raised from the Airtel Money SAS system or RACE controls
- Review and update all Airtel Money Controls to ensure relevance of controls to existing / new products
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & FUNCTIONAL / TECHNICAL SKILLS
- University bachelor degree in a Business related field and/or IT related field
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
- 3 – 5 years’ work experience/exposure working in a telecom, mobile commerce or financial institution
- Exposure and experience in product management
- Certification or relevant experience in Project Management. Project Tracking & Risk Assessment
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Functional knowledge of Mobile money and standard GSM Network
- Strong data analysis, data modelling and statistical skills with a good eye for details.
- Oracle DB SQL knowledge (+ Linux as added advantage)
- Proven ability to analyse complex business issues and identify, design and implement effective practical recommendations
- Proficient in querying a large amount of data using SQL queries
- Should be able to work and deliver under pressure and tight timelines
- Take ownership for the work assigned and have good follow through skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as individually
- Good command of the English language + good presentation skills
