Rockview University is a Private University and based on the Higher education sub-framework of the Zambia Qualifications Framework (ZQF). Rockview University has been classified as a ZQF 10 institution.
Rockview University offers education, agricultural sciences, business studies and health sciences at 10 Miles, Ndola, Chipata and Ndola Campuses.

The University also has self-contained boarding houses with modern facilities such as internet connectivity via Wi-Fi and are convenient for the academic life of our students.

In this view, Rockview University is looking for mature, proactive, highly motivated and result oriented Zambians to fill the following positions:

1. English Lecturer (Ndola Campus Intern)

Responsibilities:

  • Teach English language, literature, or communication skills to students.
  • Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that meet the curriculum.
  • Assess students’ performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Conduct tutorials and workshops to improve students’ English proficiency.
  • Stay updated with current trends in language education and integrates modern teaching techniques.
  • Assist in the creation of learning materials, including tests and assignments.
  • Attend department meetings and participate in academic activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Literature, or a related field.
  • Experience in teaching or tutoring, preferably in a college/university setting.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Familiarity with online teaching tools and platforms is a plus.

2. Marketing Agent

Responsibilities:

  • Identify potential clients and create strategies to attract them.
  • Develop marketing campaigns and manage social media platforms to promote products or services.
  • Analyze market trends and adjust marketing strategies accordingly.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and business partners.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to meet marketing and sales objectives.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or certificate in Marketing or sales
  • Proven experience in a marketing role (agency or in-house).
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing, including SEO, social media, and email marketing.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Position: Security Guard

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety and security of the university’s premises and property.
  • Patrol the campus regularly to maintain order and safety.
  • Monitor surveillance equipment and respond to alarms or suspicious activities.
  • Control access to the university by verifying identification and maintaining visitor logs.
  • Report any incidents, accidents, or suspicious behavior to the appropriate authorities.
  • Assist in emergency situations such as fire drills, evacuations, or medical emergencies.
  • Maintain clear communication with other security personnel and university staff.

Qualifications:

  • Grade twelve certificate or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in security or law enforcement is an advantage.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively in emergency situations.
  • Good observational skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical fitness to conduct regular patrols and respond to security alerts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Certification in first aid or security training is a plus.

Position: Mechanic

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on university vehicles and machinery.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and determine appropriate solutions.
  • Conduct safety checks and inspections on equipment.
  • Keep accurate records of repairs, maintenance tasks, and parts inventory.
  • Ensure all vehicles are in safe working order and meet regulatory standards.
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform repairs as needed.
  • Assist in the general upkeep of the university’s transportation and mechanical systems.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or certification in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably with vehicles and machinery.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations regarding vehicle maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
  • Good communication skills for reporting and coordinating with the team
