Job Summary:
We’re seeking a qualified and experienced Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for informed decision-making
- Prepare and submit tax returns, VAT returns, and other statutory returns
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Professional certification (CIMA, ACCA, ZICA)
- At least 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a similar industry
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, SAP)
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
