ABOUT US
Right to Care is at the vanguard in supporting and delivering prevention, care, and treatment services for HIV and associated diseases. We work with government and communities to find pioneering solutions to build and strengthening public healthcare.
We embrace a strong entrepreneurial culture and focuses on innovation and the use of technology to enhance services, address skills shortages, and deliver quality healthcare outcomes. Our areas of expertise include HIV and TB care and treatment, pharmacy automation, medical male circumcision, and cervical cancer diagnosis and treatment.
Right to Care Zambia has been awarded a five (5) year project funded by the USAID through the PEPFAR mechanism. The USAID – Action HIV project aims to reduce HIV mortality, morbidity and transmission by achieving the UNAIDS and PEPFAR goal of 95/95/95 HIV treatment coverage by providing comprehensive HIV Prevention, Care and Treatment maintenance services in Luapula, Northern and Muchinga provinces of Zambia. The USAID Action HIV project will work closely with and in support of the Ministry of Health.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Related Degree in Information Technology / Information Systems or Computer Sciences
- 2+ years IT developer experience using a combination of technologies (.Net – C#, Angular, JAVA Script, CSS, PHP, Web API 2.0,
- Entity Framework, LINQ, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML 5, CSS 3, Bootstrap, JQX Widgets,
- Developing databases using SQL and MySQL and
- Current knowledge of trends and development in computer/ tablet and mobile health technology and the administration of operations and long-range user requirements
- 4 years or more years in IT business/Industry
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Information Technology / Information Systems or Computer Sciences
- 5+ years IT developer experience using a combination of technologies (.Net – C#, Angular, JAVA Script, CSS, PHP, Web API 2.0, Entity Framework, LINQ, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML 5, CSS 3, Bootstrap, JQX Widgets,
- Developing databases using SQL and MySQL and
- Expertise in data visualizations, mHealth and GIS platforms
- At least 5 years’ experience supporting M-health applications/ record systems
- SmartCare Certification will be an added advantage

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Thoroughly document technical designs (UID, System Architecture Design, File and Database Design) of IT Business Solutions before and during development
- Ability to analyse and synthesize business requirements and convert the requirement to IT business solutions
- Develop solutions using a variety of techniques to meet the requirements of business
- Collaborate closely with Business Analysts to implement the requirements and provide necessary guidance to testers during QA process
- To successfully produce error (bug) free IT Business Solutions
- Collaborate closely with Business Analysts to implement the requirements and provide necessary guidance to testers during QA process
- Carry out regular security checks and provide solutions to security threats, viruses, or errors that might hinder the performance of applications
