Silondwa Safaris Limited invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced members of the public for the following vacant position:



To plan, control and oversee all business operations, people and ventures as well as developing a network of contacts to attract new clients, research new market opportunities and oversee growth projects, making sales projections and forecasting revenue, in line with projected income in order to maintain business growth within the company.


a)     Plans, develops and executes the company’s business strategies in the travel & tourism as well as the block supply market and warehouse management in order to attain the desired goals for maintaining and growing business.

b)    Identifies market opportunities and penetrates the Travel & Tourism business in Samfya and the surrounding districts by promoting tourism and devising tourist development initiatives/campaigns with the aim of generating and increasing revenue

c)     Supervises block Making and Supply activities in order to ensure production of high quality blocks to meet the customer requirements

d)    Manages, coordinates and ensures the safe and efficient receipt, storage and despatch of warehoused goods.

Education and Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Business Administration/ Travel & Tourism Management or other relevant field/ discipline.
  • 2 to 3 years prior proven experience in business growth related to the tourism industry

Skills Requirements

  • Proven experience as Business Development Manager or other related Business managerial position
  • Demonstrable experience in developing strategic and business plans
  • Thorough knowledge of market changes and forces that influence the company
  • Familiarity with corporate and management best practices
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities

Education and Work Experience

  • Diploma or its equivalent in Accounting or other related discipline
  • 2 years of relevant work experience

Skills and Competencies

  • Good understanding of trends, challenges, opportunities, regulations and legislations relating to the Tourism industry
  • Good knowledge of accounting of finance best practices, IFRS and other applicable accounting standards
  • Basic  of accounting packages and systems, including SAP
  • Good data gathering, analysis and problem solving skills
  • High ethical standards and integrity
  • Basic proficiency in the use of MS Office tools
