Job Title: Sponsor Relations Assistant

Job Purpose:

To review and quality check all incoming and outgoing correspondence and ensure timely delivery of accurate information about the sponsored children to their sponsors.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Scrutinizes all direct packages received and creates reports in the memo software.
  • Compiles special needs donations lists and computes the split lists.
  • Encodes special donations and direct packages related photos in the child database.
  • Quality checks and completes special donations, community projects and direct packages in the memo software.
  • Monitors and coordinates sponsor visits.
  • Tracks, reviews and processes the final letters for the 19-year-old graduates.
  • Prepares and packs the necessary letters for the weekly shipment.
  • Assists during all departmental training for the field staff and volunteers in specific issues of sponsor relations.
  • Assists in the preparation/conceptualizing of letter writing templates.
  • Maintain department’s filing system.
  • Assists with departmental requests.
  • Perform any other tasks that the immediate supervisor may assign from time to time.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Social Science or related field with a minimum of 2 years’ experience
  • Computer literate and should be able to use Word, Excel and internet- a must.
  • Training in Project Planning and Management will be an added advantage.

  • Must possess good analytical skills, accuracy and particular attention to detail.
  • Must have good organizational skills and must be able to work in a very busy environment.
  • Must be a self-starter and a team player.
    Must have good communication and interpersonal skills
