St. Peters Anglican Parish is looking for a suitable candidate to take up the position of Accounts Assistant on part time basis.
A. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Full grade twelve certificate.
- Diploma in Accountancy or CA Zambia level 2, ACCA/CIMA Level 1.
- 1-2 years work experience with good command in excel spreadsheets.
- Knowledge of Pastel accounting software will be an added advantage.
B. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILTIES.
- Responsible for depositing all church collections and timely issuance of receipts.
- Responsible for raising requisitions and payment vouchers for all payments.
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, including journal entries, ledgers, and bank statements.
- Preparation of monthly Bank reconciliations for all accounts held with commercial banks, including mobile service providers.
- Timely preparation and submission of all statutory obligations.
- Preparation of the monthly and Annual Budgets.
- Assist with financial reporting and analysis, including variance analysis and budget tracking.
- Filing of all transactional documentation.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned by the Parish Executive.
