Job Overview:
The CCTV/Radio Technical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of CCTV systems and radio communication equipment. The role involves supervising technical teams, ensuring system functionality, troubleshooting issues, and providing technical support to both staff and system users. The successful candidate will ensure that all security and communication systems are properly managed and perform optimally to meet the company’s standards and client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision and Team Management:
Lead and supervise technical teams in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of CCTV systems and radio equipment.
Assign tasks to technicians and monitor their performance.
Ensure technicians follow safety protocols and adhere to industry standards.
Installation and Maintenance:
Oversee the installation and commissioning of CCTV cameras, monitoring systems, and radio communications networks.
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure systems are functioning optimally.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to CCTV systems or radio communication devices.
Technical Support:
Provide expert technical assistance and support to staff and users.
Assist in diagnosing and repairing faults in CCTV systems and radio networks.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain detailed records of installations, maintenance work, and repairs.
Prepare and submit reports on system performance, maintenance activities, and any issues encountered.
System Upgrades:
Keep abreast of technological advancements and recommend upgrades to enhance system efficiency and reliability.
Assist in upgrading and expanding CCTV and radio systems as required.
Compliance and Quality Control:
Ensure all installed systems comply with industry regulations and company policies.
Perform quality control checks on all technical work completed by the team.
Training and Development:
Train technicians on the proper use and installation of CCTV and radio equipment.
Provide regular updates and training on new technologies and best practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in IT,Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related technical field.
Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in CCTV and radio communication system installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of CCTV systems, including IP and analog cameras, DVR/NVR systems, and video management software.
Knowledge of radio communication systems, including handheld radios, base stations, and repeaters.
Proficiency in configuring and maintaining network-based security systems.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair electronic and communication devices.
Soft Skills:
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Good communication skills for coordinating with clients and team members.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
