Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Data Analyst Intern to join our team in Zambia. The intern will assist in collecting, cleaning, analysing, and visualizing data to support business decision-making. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates passionate about data analysis and looking to gain hands-on experience in a professional setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect, clean, and preprocess data from various sources to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
• Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify patterns, trends, and insights.
• Assist in developing dashboards and reports using tools like Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
• Support business teams with data-driven insights for decision-making.
  Conduct statistical analysis and basic forecasting to identify business opportunities.
• Document processes, methodologies, and data-related workflows.
  Collaborate with different departments to understand data requirements and reporting needs.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data analysis.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
• Recent university graduate (No more than 2 years since graduation)

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Excel for data analysis and visualization.
• Basic knowledge of SQL for querying databases.
• Familiarity with Python or R for data manipulation and analysis.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Google Data Studio is a plus.
• Understanding of statistical concepts and data modelling techniques.

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling data.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
• Good communication skills for presenting insights to non-technical stakeholders.
