The holder of this position will be required to adhere to all relevant requirements, policies, procedures and legal regulations pertaining to health, safety, environment and quality, as well as finance, human resources, and any other regulations as required by the company and relevant to the level of the role and responsibilities of the function.
Key Responsibilities
- Assign daily duties and make sure there are adhered to.
- Ensure machines are calibrated and standardised.
- Ensure machines are in good working condition.
- Monitor the usage of consumables and carry out stock taking to avoid run outs.
- Train laboratory personnel to perform various tests.
- Ensure Quality Control and safety programs are adhered to at all times.
- Ensure that laboratory control processes are adhered to.
- Ensure the laboratory is kept clean at all times.
- Ensure all documentation is in place.
- Carry out duties as assigned by the Supervisor
Qualifications
- Grade 12 Certificate
- Diploma in science laboratory technology
