About us:
Tandiza Zambia Finance (Tandiza) is a Non-Banking Financial Institution (NBFI), licensed by the Central Bank of Zambia. Our offices are based in Kitwe in the heart of the Copperbelt. Our mission is to efficiently provide competitively priced short-term credit financing to solve customers’ unforeseen short-term cash flow shortfalls.

The Opportunity

Grade/Role: Associate Director

Responsibilities:

  • Providing regular updates and reports to CEO and Executive Directors
  • Upholding company values of professionalism, integrity, provision of excellent client service and due care in execution of tasks.
  • Managing, developing and coaching of team members
  • Reviewing and authorising various reports and processes, ensuring they are performed in line with policy.
  • Managing key client contact relationships.
  • Ensuring team works together and achieves monthly, quarterly and annual financial and operational targets.
  • Attend some Board meetings and make some contributions.
  • Manage financial and regulatory reporting
  • Manage 3rd party and supplier contacts
  • Attend and contribute to operational, tactical and strategy meetings.
  • Lead key business projects from start to completion
  • Act as a steward for all company assets and resources, ensuring there is no wastage or loss.

Requirements:

  • Able to participate in commercial and strategic discussions and make recommendations to improve business processes
  • Has experience in fully articulating strategy and successfully assisting in implementing this to completion
  • Has experience presenting to a, senior executives.
  • Is able to take senior executives through detailed commercial decisions and recommendations
  • Able to contribute to process/policy development and ensure process/policies are being enforced.
  • Able to manage several competing commitments, in addition to managing a team
  • Comfortable handling and managing key client relationships, 3rd party supplier relationships and regulators etc.
  • Has a demonstrable history of performing at consistently high level, with a duty of care, integrity and professionalism

Qualifications and Experience

  • Graduate from a reputable university or Professional qualification e.g. ACCA, CIMA, etc.
  • At 5 to 7 years’ experience in a mid-to-senior position.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced SME business with high growth potential and less structured environment.
